Hana Lewis and Maia Magder met at Walter Reed National Military Medical center collaborating on cases for Traumatic Brain Injury, ADHD, and executive dysfunction. Our patients were often complex; they had sustained polytraumatic injuries from high-tempo military deployments. Others appeared to be “fine,” hiding their injuries and cognitive struggles. Over time, they were not only no longer able to keep up with the pace and demands of their jobs, but had also began to question their intellectual identity and cognitive capacity.

Our combined clinical lenses allowed us to understand how to use systemic interventions to build them back. With goals of military readiness and return to duty from a physical and cognitive standpoint, we delineated which domains of cognition had become vulnerable, and applied strategies to overcome strain. Because of our partnership, we brought a synergy to cases that yielded lasting changes across work, educational pursuits, and personal lives. Our clients went from “fine” to “thrive” through use of education, cognitive tools and systems development.

Strata was born out of a desire to share our knowledge with your organization. We believe that optimizing cognition is a knowable skill for organizations and individuals who want to sharpen the way they think, interact, and communicate.
